Home learning during lock down 3.0

I hope that home learning is going well. Please find a list of websites designed to support your child's learning during this period of home learning.

Please remember that you are not alone during this time, you can contact me via email (Monday - Friday) and via the school phone (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

Home Learning during isolation

At Britannia, we want to ensure ALL children are supported during this time of isolation, particularly those with special educational needs and additional needs in learning.

With this in mind, I have created this SEND home learning section.  While teachers are busy updating their year group learning pages, I am conscious that your child may require additional resources to support their learning at home.

The folders below have been categorised in to the 4 broad areas of SEN, as defined by the SEN Code of Practice, 2014.  There is Cognition and Learning (which includes poor working memory, Dyslexia and mild/moderate learning difficulties), Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Sensory and Physical (which includes fine and gross difficulties and sensory play ideas).

In each of the folders, you will find a list of websites that support each need and resources to support learning. These will be updated regularly – so please keep checking.  Please feel free to look in each folder, even if your child may not have difficulties in that area, as you may find the resources/websites will benefit your child. The resources contained in the SEMH folder may also be useful for any child who is finding this period of isolation difficult and becoming anxious.

Please do email me if you have any resources or/and websites that could benefit other children.  Likewise, if you require something that is not in the files at present, please contact me and I will try my best to source this for you.  You can contact school on: or myself on: These emails will be answered Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

For those pupils that are supported by Speech and Language therapists, I am in regular contact with them and can ask for support/resources on your behalf.

Please remember that many people are finding this period of isolation difficult, you are doing a fantastic job and we are here to support you.
