Children missing education are children of compulsory school age (5-16 years old) who are not registered on a school roll or not attending an alternative education provision.
Reporting a child missing education (CME)
If you think a child is missing from education, please tell us about it by completing this CME Reporting Template form and emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the CME team on the general CME number at 01473 265224. A voicemail facility is available.
Out of hours
Please be aware that we will investigate your concerns, take the appropriate action and if necessary, share any relevant information with the appropriate Suffolk County Council Team(s). It is not possible to provide you with any updates or information.
Britannia Primary School and Nursery protocols
It is the parent/carer’s responsibility to inform the school on the first day of absence before 9:30am or as soon as possible. Parents can report an absence by telephoning the school office or emailing email@example.com. If we have concerns that a Britannia pupil is CME, a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Carol Naunton (FLO) will conduct a house call to ensure that the child is safe.
