On the 8th of July the whole school came together for a special Art Day. Each class explored a different artist to be inspired by and produced their own interpretations.
EYFS took inspirations from Leonardo da Vinci, KS1 from Roy Lichtenstein, LKS1 from Gustav Klimt and UKS2 from Frida Kahlo.
The children were experimenting with different mediums and techniques, they were painting, drawing, printing, collaging. They explored idea of self-identity, thinking about what is special about them and what make them unique. Some children explored how they could use colour to reflect their moods and feelings and other children looked at making art with their facial features and body part.
Everybody had a fantastic day and the children have produced some wonderful artwork. Some of the work is displayed in KS1 area.
