Britannia
Primary School and Nursery
The aim of our Britannia curriculum is to provide outstanding, ambitious curriculum provision that is exciting and will inspire children to develop a passion for learning. Equal opportunities are central to our curriculum and are a fundamental right for all children, regardless of gender, race, cultural and social backgrounds, religious beliefs, physical characteristics or educational needs. To reinforce these rights, our curriculum actively promotes the whole school policy for equal opportunities.
At Britannia, our school vision is at the very heart of our curriculum: to develop responsible citizens, confident individuals and independent learners; therefore, our curriculum is designed to be inspiring and ambitious.
Our subject leaders have designed our bespoke curriculum and curriculum concepts to suit the needs of our pupils. We strive to ensure that we provide a curriculum that teaches depth of knowledge and skills progressively, from EYFS to Year 6, preparing the children for life beyond primary school.
We pride ourselves in using quality ongoing assessment to ensure that our children are appropriately challenged to achieve to the best of their ability.
