Purpose of our Safeguarding policy 

Britannia Primary School and Nursery's Safeguarding Policy provides clear direction and expectations, for our stakeholders, when dealing with safeguarding matters. 

The 3 aims of our Safeguarding Policy: 

Prevention: by creating a positive school environment and culture, providing high quality teaching and pastoral support for pupils.

Protection: by following the agreed procedures and ensuring that all staff are appropriately recruited, trained and supported to respond effectively to safeguarding concerns. 

Support: by providing appropriate support for pupils and staff who have been or are being abused.
