Our Year 5-6 compete group (children who train for 2 or more hours a week) came a very commendable 3rd, they also got a special mention for their fantastic floor routine! The Year 3-4 compete group, which had two children within it that don't train at all and another two who do over 6 hours a week, came an amazing 2nd! And Year 1-2 group did amazingly well and got 1st place! A huge well done to all our gymnasts!

This month has seen the return of our Eggtastic Spring Competition, run by Mrs Cray and Mrs Krzywanska, our art and DT leaders. This year's theme was traditional tales, and we had over 100 entries! None of us have envied the judges' difficult decisions! The eggs were displayed for our whole school community at our amazing Eggsibition! Thank you to all who took part.

Music Trip to Snape - December 2025
On Friday 5th December, 43 of our KS2 children went to Snape Maltings to watch the Co-op Juniors perform their annual Christmas Extravaganza. The show was amazing; it was truly West End quality and got us all in the Christmas Spirit! The children were captivated from start to finish and everyone had their own favourite moments. It was really interesting to hear on the coach journey that there are a number of Britannia children attending dance troupes and some are even members of Co-op Juniors. Mr Hart enjoyed the show so much that he saw it again the following Sunday!

71 of our Year 5 pupils went on a team-building residential, to Hilltop in Norfolk, for a 2 night stay! They took part in many challenging activities, such as archery, high ropes, climbing, the assault course and bush crafts. They also enjoyed playing hide and seek in the dark, making a campfire and a disco on the last night to round off their fantastic learning experience!
Anti-Bullying Week
November 2025
We wore odd socks during Anti-Bullying Week is a symbolic way to celebrate diversity and individuality. Odd socks visually represent that being unique is ok: everyone is different, and those differences should be embraced! We have also carried out anti-bullying lessons, as part of our RSHE curriculum, across the school this week.
The Britannia Bake-Off! November 2025
Our KS2 Golden Ticket winners took part in the Britannia Bake-Off, where Mrs Bates gave them ingredients and instructions to bake for our very own judge, Mr Hart! The bakers produced a fantastic array of colourful cupcakes for Mr Hart to try, with the bakers remaining anonymous. Our very deserving winner, and recipient of the Britannia Bake-Off apron was Ollie!
PC Sam, our local PCSO, visited us this week with his police car! Our younger pupils, from Nursery to Year 3, had a session with PC Sam and were even able to sit in the car turn on the lights! PC Sam is building a relationship with our pupils to develop a positive view of our local community team, who are there as a positive force to help and to keep us feeling safe by being around us in our community.

Joe Carr from The Red House, Aldeburgh (the home of Britten and Pears) visited pupils from our music clubs to teach two music workshops. The workshops included opportunities for singing, listening, song writing, problem solving and looking at musical artefacts - a fantastic wider musical experience for our pupils who are passionate about music!
Our amazing Year 6 pupils have spent time, during their Easter holidays, raising money for their leavers' celebrations at the end of the year. These are just few examples of the fantastic activities they have taken part in. Many thanks to all families and friends who have sponsored them!

Spring Eggtastic Competition Entries 2025!
Artist Lily Hammond, from Uwu Studios, visited Years 3 and 6 for a design masterclass! Lily shared her experiences as an artist and what it is like to set up your own studio. The pupils were inspired by her story and her work and created their own pieces as part of the workshop.
Miss Stannard and Miss Turpin took a group of pupils, who do gymnastics training outside of school, to a school gymnastics competition at Hadleigh Allstars.
Our Years 1/2 team achieved Gold & Silver, Years 3/4 got Silver and Years 5/6 got 2nd on floor. The children were beaming from ear to ear; a very worthwhile competition to attend and the biggest thing was the fact we had representatives from every year group at one competition, it truly was a great morning!
