Home School Agreement

 Britannia's Home-School Agreement
Parents and Carers

As a parent/carer of a child at Britannia Primary School and Nursery, I/we will:

  • Ensure that my child attends school regularly, arrives on time and is equipped for learning.
  • Ensure that my child wears the correct school uniform and adheres to the school's expectations.
  • Support the school's policies, values and expectations for behaviour and conduct.
  • Encourage and support my child's learning at home, including homework, reading and other academic, social and enrichment opportunities provided by the school.
  • Attend Parents' Consultation Evenings and other meetings to discuss my child's progress, wellbeing and development.
  • Inform the school promptly of any concerns, circumstances or changes that may affect my child's learning, behaviour or wellbeing.
  • Notify the school on the first day of any absence and provide reasons for non-attendance.
  • Work in partnership with the school to support my child in demonstrating the 4Rs: Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Reflection.
 
The School

The staff at Britannia Primary School and Nursery will:

  • Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive.
  • Deliver a bespoke broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Promote high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance through our school values and the 4Rs: Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Reflection.
  • Value and support every child as an individual, helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Inform parents/carers promptly of any concerns relating to attendance, punctuality, learning, behaviour or wellbeing.
  • Provide appropriate homework and opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide regular feedback on attainment and achievement.
  • Arrange Parents' Consultation Evenings and other opportunities to discuss children's progress and next steps in learning.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers, recognising that strong home-school relationships contribute positively to children's success and wellbeing.
