We are learning how to add 'and' to join two clauses.
This lesson looks rule 3 - Checking that both clauses make sense in the sentence.
Part of the task is to match the clauses verbally with Mrs Stollery on the video.
After matching the sentences the final task is to write a full sentence using the word 'and', using two of the clauses paired verbally.
You will need to write the sentence the handwriting lined paper, there is no PDF for this task.
After completing the SPaG task have a run around before starting the main English lesson.

For the first part of the lesson - practise the key text using your 'box it up' task from Wednesday and Mrs Stollery's story map in the video. Use your actions to help you to remember the text.
This is a listening and comprehension lesson - the focus is to identify the facts from the non-fiction text.
At the end of the video there is a task to identify if the information in the PDF below is true or false.
The information is found in the non-fiction text that we are learning.
If you can not print the PDF you can write the numbers of each fact and draw a tick or a cross to show your understanding.
You do not need to write all of the sentences on the sheet.
The sheet is read out, used and marked in the video to support independent learning.
