WORLD BOOK DAY 2017 – Thursday 2nd March
This year we will be celebrating World Book Day in a variety of ways across the school!
As we have already had a book-related dress up day this year, World Book Day will NOT be a fancy dress day, however it will be non-uniform. Instead of dressing up, we would like the children to come to school wearing their Blurb on their Back! More information will follow on this straight after half-term.
There will be various exciting activities going on all day throughout the school, including shared reading across year groups, staff story-tellers, a Bumper Book Quiz and a class read-a-thon! There will also be book shaped biscuits on sale at break time and a book themed menu!
The travelling book fair will be with us from 1st-8th March. After school every day books will be available to purchase from the library until 4pm. We will also give out the £1 book tokens nearer the time so the children can choose their free book or use it as a voucher for £1 off a more expensive book at participating local shops.
We look forward to a packed day of reading fun!
