·         to have respect for others;

·         to be thoughtful and responsible members of our school, community and society;

·         to become active members of our democratic society and find out about political and social Institutions that affect them;

·         to learn about how money works and why making astute financial choices is so important;

·         to understand about the role of the media around us and its possible impacts upon us

·         to develop self-confidence and self-esteem;
