Geography provokes and answers questions about the natural and human world. Our children are encouraged to explore the world around them by using local resources, educational visits, residential visits, and contrasting localities to bring life to their learning. When learning about a different locality, the key question for any young Geographer is: What is it like there?
We develop knowledge of a variety of places and environments throughout the world, an understanding of maps, and a range of problem-solving and investigative skills both inside and outside the classroom. Geography develops the ability to understand and resolve issues about the environment, as well as explain changes that may have occurred in different environments and locations Geography is mainly taught through our thematic curriculum, but we also exploit links with English and Mathematics too.
