E-Safety

The school teaches pupils across all phases the importance of being safe in the internet, whether this is being accessed in school via the school broadband link or outside school through the use of not only home computer systems but also devices such as X Box and mobile telephones.

During ICT and PSHE lessons, E Safety is discussed including the dangers associated with using the internet, including the inappropriate use of social media network sites such as Facebook.

When talking about E Safety we use a number of websites to obtain the latest information and guidance.  A website called Internet Matters which has recently been given government backing gives useful information relating to parent controls etc - links to this and other websites relating to e-safety are below.
